Troops of Sector 5 under Operation Safe Haven (OPEP) have initiated a search for suspected Fulani bandits following the killing of a civilian in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. The incident occurred at approximately 9:10 a.m. on May 3, 2026, in Kaban village, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.

Upon receiving a report of the attack, troops deployed at Horop promptly moved to the scene. On arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of the victim, while the perpetrators had already fled the area. The authorities noted that there was no immediate trace of the attackers.
