Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have arrested a suspected logistics supplier to terrorists and recovered a large cache of military-grade equipment during a routine stop-and-search operation along the Sokoto–Gusau Road in Zamfara State. The suspect was intercepted on June 24, 2026, while driving a Honda Civic vehicle conveying military-related items and electronic devices suspected to be meant for terrorist groups operating in the North-West.

Recovered Items Include 150 Combat Boots and Military Gear

Items recovered from the vehicle included 150 pairs of combat boots, three jackknives, three electric shockers, one tear gas canister, one military beret and one belt. The troops also confiscated two Android phones, one iPad and a digital wristwatch believed to be relevant to ongoing investigations.

Suspect in Custody, Investigations Underway

The suspect has been taken into custody for further interrogation, while the recovered items are being profiled as part of efforts to dismantle terrorist logistics and supply networks in the region. Military authorities said the arrest underscored the sustained commitment of Operation FANSAN YAMMA to disrupting the movement of logistics and equipment used by terrorist elements across the North-West.
