A horrific crime has shocked the community of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, India, where a six-year-old girl was brutally gang-raped and murdered. The incident, which occurred on the night of January 2, 2025, has led to a swift police response and the arrest of two suspects following a dramatic encounter.
The Heinous Crime and Initial Discovery
According to police reports, the minor girl was playing on the rooftop of her family's building when she was abducted. The accused, identified as Raju Kashyap and Veeru Kashyap, were tenants living in the same building. After sexually assaulting the child, the men allegedly threw her from the rooftop in a desperate attempt to conceal their identities.
The girl's father found her critically injured in a field behind the building. She was rushed to the Community Health Centre in Sikandrabad, but doctors could not save her life and declared her dead. Acting on the father's complaint, police immediately registered a case under stringent laws, including sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police Operation and Dramatic Arrest
Recognizing the gravity of the case, the Senior Superintendent of Police formed three special teams to track down the perpetrators. Investigators received a tip that the suspects were hiding at Idris’s premises in an under-construction colony.
When a police team from Sikandrabad surrounded the area, the accused opened fire on the officers. Police returned fire in self-defence, injuring both Raju and Veeru Kashyap in their legs during the ensuing encounter. The two men were arrested in their injured state and taken to a hospital for treatment. During preliminary interrogation, both accused confessed to their involvement in the crime, police stated.

The case has been filed under multiple serious charges. Authorities are continuing their investigation to ensure all aspects of the crime are thoroughly examined.
