The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) of forcefully denying medical care to former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, assaulting his wife, and arresting his personal physician. The allegations were made in a statement by Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's spokesperson, on Tuesday, July 7.

According to Abdullahi, the ADC obtained the information from the National Hospital in Abuja, where El-Rufai was scheduled for medical treatment. Hospital authorities had advised that the former governor needed to be hospitalized due to his failing health.
