Babcock University Denounces Fake Certificate Linked to Carter Efe

Babcock University has publicly distanced itself from a certificate circulating online that is allegedly linked to popular comedian and streamer Carter Efe, describing the document as fraudulent. The institution has also vowed to pursue legal action over the forgery.

In a statement released on Monday, June 29, the university clarified that the purported “Honorary Certificate” claiming to award Oderohiwo Joseph Efe a “First Class Upper” did not originate from the institution. The university emphasized that it does not issue honorary certificates for undergraduate academic performance and has no degree classification known as “First Class Upper.” According to Babcock, its highest academic classification is First Class Honours.

University Urges Public to Disregard Fake Document

The university urged members of the public, employers, and other institutions to disregard the document and to verify academic credentials through the Office of the Registrar. The statement further warned that legal action would be pursued against those involved in the forgery.
