Operatives of the Borno State Police Command have successfully recovered a suspicious bag abandoned at Layin Logo, Moduganari area of Maiduguri, the state capital. The discovery prompted an immediate response from the Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit Base 13, which was deployed to the scene.

IED Safely Detonated

Upon arrival, the EOD team identified an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) concealed inside the bag. In line with standard operating procedures, the device was safely detonated to eliminate any threat to public safety. The operation was conducted without any casualties or damage to property.

Police Urge Vigilance

In a statement released by the command, the police advised residents of Borno State to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious persons or objects to the nearest police station.
