DSP Timfon John, the Police Public Relations Officer for the command, issued a formal statement on Monday, March 2, 2026, to announce the arrest. According to the statement, the case was initially reported on February 24, 2026, by the child's mother, identified as Gift. She informed authorities that while bathing her daughter, she noticed a suspicious discharge from the child's private part, prompting immediate concern.
Upon careful questioning, the young girl alleged that she had been sexually abused by an adult male. She further stated that she could identify the perpetrator if she saw him again. The police acted swiftly by issuing a medical examination form and ensuring the child received prompt medical treatment for her condition.
