Abuja Tragedy: Man Seeks Family of Woman Found De@d, Suspects 'One Chance' Attack
Help Find Family of Woman Found Lifeless in Abuja

A public appeal has been launched to locate the family of a young woman found lifeless on a roadside in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The grim discovery was made on the morning of Tuesday, January 6, 2026, sparking concerns about the activities of criminal elements known as 'One Chance' in the city.

A Grim Morning Discovery on Abuja Road

The appeal was initiated by a Nigerian man, Tor Bako, who took to social media to share the heartbreaking encounter. Bako stated that on his way to work, he came across the motionless body of a young lady lying by the roadside. Her personal bag was found flung a short distance from her body, suggesting a possible struggle or attack.

The documents recovered from the bag identified the deceased as Princess Ochigbo. The contents of her bag also indicated that she was likely a staff member of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory. Bako strongly suspects that the heinous act was carried out by the notorious 'One Chance' hoodlums who have been terrorizing residents within the FCT.

Public Appeal for Family Contact

In a bid to ensure the deceased's family is notified and can claim her body, Tor Bako has called on the public for assistance. He has urged anyone with information that could lead to the family of Princess Ochigbo to come forward.

The point of contact for anyone with relevant information is the Nigeria Police Force, Dawaki Division. The police station is located opposite Gwarimpa estate along the Kubwa Express Road in Abuja. Bako's social media post passionately pleaded with the public to share the information widely until it reaches the bereaved family.

Rising Concerns Over FCT Security

This tragic incident has once again cast a spotlight on the security challenges within the nation's capital, particularly the menace of 'One Chance' robberies. These criminals often operate in moving vehicles, posing as commercial taxi drivers, only to rob, assault, and sometimes murder their passengers.

The case of Princess Ochigbo underscores the urgent need for enhanced security measures and public vigilance on Abuja roads. It serves as a somber reminder of the very real dangers faced by commuters. As the search for her family continues, the community is left mourning another life potentially lost to violent crime in the FCT.
