Additional Operations

The agency's officers also carried out raids in hotels located in Birnin Kebbi and Makera towns. During these operations, they arrested several girls, boys, and older men engaged in immoral acts.

Two children found separately were brought to the Hisbah and safely reunited with their parents. Additionally, a mentally unstable woman from Zuru, who had been missing for three years, was found and reunited with her family.

A woman from Gombe, who was experiencing marital issues with her husband in Niger Republic, was brought to the Hisbah. Her parents requested her return, and she was sent back to them. Furthermore, a 15-year-old girl, a new Muslim convert, was discovered with a young Muslim man who had kept her in his room and was having sexual relations with her.

In another case, a woman was arrested for receiving money from men in exchange for sexual intercourse, which she claimed was to feed her orphaned children.

Conflict Resolution Efforts

Mr. Usman added that the agency successfully resolved disputes between several married couples, as well as a conflict between a housemaid and her employers. The Barekete Family in Abuja also sought the board's assistance in resolving a debt dispute involving a Kebbi State indigene and an Abuja resident, which was amicably settled.

The director also mentioned that a boy from Ka'oje town, who had run away from school and was wandering aimlessly, was found and reunited with his teacher.

Warning to Offenders

Usman warned those engaged in immoral acts to repent and desist immediately. He emphasized that anyone found engaging in or facilitating such behavior in the future would face strict legal action without leniency.
