The suspects taken into custody include Zakariya Abubakar Diggi, Joseph Dahali Wanda, Sanda Alhaji, Mamman Abubakar Manu, Aisha Manu, Saudatu Abubakar, Abubakar Muhammad, Betuwa Muhammad, Abdullahi Umaru, and Ja’I Garba. Preliminary investigations have revealed a disturbing detail: two of the suspects, Zakariya Abubakar Diggi and Joseph Dahali Wanda, are SIM registration agents who allegedly specialized in the fraudulent registration of SIM cards using proxy subscriber information.

These fraudulently registered SIM cards were reportedly used by the kidnappers for ransom negotiations, highlighting a sophisticated criminal network. The other suspects are currently under investigation for their various roles in the commission of the crime, while police efforts continue to apprehend additional suspects who remain at large.
