A quiet community in Ghana's Oti Region has been thrown into mourning and shock following a gruesome incident of alleged patricide. The Oti Regional Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 23-year-old man, Innocent Owusu, for the suspected murder of his own father.

The victim, identified as 59-year-old Peter Owusu, was reportedly killed and beheaded at the family's residence in Likpe Abrani. Authorities state the tragic event took place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

Intelligence Leads to Arrest in Forest Hideout
