In a shocking incident in Shreveport, Louisiana, a mother has been accused of kicking her 4-year-old daughter out of a second-story window, leaving the young child with two broken arms. According to reports from the Bossier City Police Department, detectives initiated an investigation after the victim was brought to a hospital with severe injuries to both wrists and forearms.
Investigation Reveals Disturbing Details

"After the detectives began investigating, they found out that the mother of the child pushed her, kicked her out of the window," Poudrier explained, highlighting the gravity of the alleged act.
Mother Already in Custody on Related Charges
Authorities attempted to contact the victim's mother, identified as 37-year-old Sharonica Davis, but discovered she was already incarcerated. Davis had been charged with cruelty to juveniles in connection to the same window-kicking incident. Subsequently, the Bossier City Police Department added an additional charge of attempted second-degree murder, as reported by local outlets.
Child Placed in Protective Care
Following the incident, the 4-year-old girl was placed under the care of the Department of Children and Family Services to ensure her safety and well-being. The case has drawn emotional responses from law enforcement, with Sergeant Poudrier expressing personal distress over the situation.
Emotional Toll on Investigators
"It’s a sad situation, that’s why I take this so personal," Poudrier told KTAL. He added, "You know, I have three small kids, and you see, this work in these cases takes an emotional toll on you. And you want to try to protect every one of them that you can." This statement underscores the profound impact such cases have on those involved in child protection efforts.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by children and the critical role of law enforcement and social services in safeguarding them from harm.
