Nigeria's anti-narcotics agency has uncovered what officials described as one of the largest clandestine methamphetamine operations in recent years, following a major raid that led to the arrest of three Mexican nationals and seven other suspects linked to an international drug trafficking network.

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency carried out the operation at a hidden laboratory located in Ogun State, where large quantities of crystal methamphetamine and drug production equipment were recovered. According to the agency, the illegal facility was allegedly being used for the large-scale production and distribution of methamphetamine intended for both local and international markets. Authorities estimated the street value of the seized narcotics and equipment at about N480 billion.
