OnlyFans Model Denies Being Girlfriend Who Led Police to Drug Lord El Mencho

A prominent Mexican OnlyFans and Instagram model has publicly denied allegations that she was the girlfriend who led law enforcement to Mexico's most notorious cartel boss, Nemesio "El Mencho" Oseguera Cervantes. The controversy erupted after an AI-generated photograph and widespread online rumors circulated across Spanish-language social media platforms, falsely linking her to the high-profile drug lord.

Viral Rumors and Baseless Claims

María Julissa, who boasts an impressive following of 3.5 million on Instagram, found herself at the center of unfounded speculation following official statements that authorities tracked down one of El Mencho's girlfriends at his secluded resort compound in rural Tapalpa, Jalisco. Despite Mexican officials not disclosing the identity of the woman involved, Julissa was singled out by numerous social media posts claiming she was among the slain cartel leader's romantic partners.

"I want to make it absolutely clear: I have nothing to do with that situation," Julissa emphatically stated in a social media post. "The information going around is false and lacks foundation. I ask that you all not fall for fake news and always look to reliable sources and officials."

Official Investigation Details

The model's denial comes in the wake of revelations by Mexico's Defense Secretary, Ricardo Trevilla, who explained on Monday that intelligence agents located the elusive Oseguera through a lover. Agents identified a man close to the woman and discovered she had been taken to Tapalpa, a mountainous retreat community where Oseguera and his cartel members were hiding.

Although the girlfriend eventually departed the resort, El Mencho and his associates remained barricaded inside the compound. This prompted the Mexican military to deploy special forces, leading to a fierce firefight where Oseguera and several others were killed.

Background and Aftermath

Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as El Mencho, was previously married to Rosalinda González Valencia before their separation in 2018. His ex-wife was released from prison last year after serving a two-year sentence for money laundering convictions.

Following El Mencho's death, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel unleashed a wave of violence across Jalisco and other Mexican states, resulting in over 70 fatalities, including 25 members of the national guard. The incident underscores the ongoing challenges in Mexico's fight against organized crime and the dangerous spread of misinformation on social media platforms.
