The Oyo State Police Command has officially refuted reports circulating on social media that the abducted students, pupils, and teacher in Orire Local Government Area have been rescued. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Command clarified that no such rescue has taken place.

The statement, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard them. The Command emphasized that security operatives are actively conducting coordinated operations to ensure the safe return of the victims and to apprehend the perpetrators.

Residents have been advised to remain calm and assist security agencies rather than circulate unverified claims that could escalate tension. The police noted that false information diverts operational attention from critical rescue efforts.
