In a significant crackdown on crime, security operatives in Yobe State have dismantled a notorious criminal enclave, apprehending seventeen individuals which shockingly included a serving officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Coordinated Operation Targets Saman Tudu Hideout

The raid was executed on January 18, 2026, at approximately 7:20 p.m. in the Saman Tudu area of Pompomari District, Damaturu. According to sources, the operation was intelligence-driven and meticulously coordinated, targeting a location known to be a safe haven for criminal elements.

  • Five bicycles
  • Dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa
  • Hemp wrapping papers
  • A long sack used as a mat
  • The sum of N8,500 found inside a sack believed to contain drugs
