Video director TG Omori has shared a troubling encounter that led him to park his luxury cars and purchase a small Hyundai for daily commuting in Lagos.
Harassment by Traffic Thugs
In a recent post, Omori recounted how he was bullied and extorted by traffic thugs while driving his expensive vehicles. He wrote: "These traffic thugs really bullied me to park my cars and buy a small Hyundai to find peace on these Lagos roads."
Omori detailed a specific incident: "One time I was rushing to the hospital for an emergency, back seat in my G-Wagon. These guys blocked my car, chased it down traffic till I had to make a transfer."
Growing Trend of Celebrity Harassment
Omori's experience is not isolated. Numerous Nigerian celebrities have recently complained about being targeted for money by thugs whenever they are seen in high-end cars. The trend has sparked discussions about safety and the challenges of flaunting wealth in public spaces.
By switching to a more modest vehicle, Omori hopes to avoid further harassment and find peace while navigating the chaotic Lagos traffic.
