Troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, Operation Enduring Peace, have apprehended a suspected security impersonator during a patrol in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. The arrest took place at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in the Latya community as part of routine operations.

Recovered Items

Items recovered from the suspect include a Keystone identification card bearing the details “AP/No 190470 SP Aodona Lorpuu,” an NSCDC identification tag, a vehicle plate number, and other personal effects. During preliminary questioning, the suspect failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the recovered items.

Handover for Investigation

According to security analyst Zagazola, the suspect and the recovered exhibits were subsequently transferred to Keystone B Division, Bukuru, for further investigation and necessary action. Security agencies have reiterated warnings against impersonation of military and security personnel, emphasizing that such acts pose a serious threat to public safety and national security.
