A 27-year-old woman, Mikayla Kloth, was arrested after she allegedly fatally stabbed her boyfriend during a dispute over dinner plans. The incident occurred on Friday, April 24, 2026, at an apartment building in the Village of Lac La Belle in Waukesha County, Wisconsin.
A complaint reportedly states that law enforcement arrived at the scene to discover a man with a stab wound in his chest and Kloth standing inside the apartment. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Lukas Rosch, later died at a hospital.
When speaking to investigators at the scene, Kloth reportedly stated that she had stabbed her boyfriend because she had gotten angry with him. While being taken to the police station, authorities said Kloth made excited utterances, stating she should have just gone to the bar, and the whole thing was irritating. The complaint further stated that Kloth said that if the victim's parents did not hate her before, they will hate her now.
When speaking with investigators, Kloth reportedly said that she did not want Rosch to come over to her apartment for dinner the night of his death, stating that she would have preferred going out. The victim, however, proceeded to come over to the apartment and he had chicken drumsticks, seasoning, and was planning on using the air fryer, prosecutors said.
The documents further show that the defendant stated the victim began pushing her buttons, she was upset and an argument ensued. Kloth allegedly took responsibility for the incident, telling police that if they had to lock her up, that was cool.
According to WISN, the criminal complaint said the victim spoke to another woman and the apartment landlord, telling them he had been bitten on the thumb by the defendant. The woman reportedly told authorities that Rosch genuinely seemed afraid of the suspect and told her, please take my full name, in case something ever happens to me.
Kloth was arrested and charged accordingly. The suspect made an initial appearance in court on Monday and was given a $2,000,000 cash bond, per the report. She is expected to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on May 29.
