A Journey of Dedication
Dosunmu's success is the result of years of disciplined work. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lagos State University in 2019. His engineering background trained him to analyze systems and identify weaknesses, skills he successfully applied to cybersecurity.
He began his career at Adbirt Nigeria in January 2019 as a Junior Security Analyst. There, he conducted vulnerability assessments, designed firewall defenses, encrypted data, developed security protocols, and produced detailed reports for leadership. His contributions were exceptional for a young professional.
Rising to New Heights

He led cross-functional teams in responding to security incidents, coordinated breach containment, deployed intrusion detection systems, and conducted forensic investigations. His work significantly strengthened the government's security posture.
The NITA selection committee recognized his complete journey from private sector security audits to government incident response operations, deeming him deserving of the award.
Words of Gratitude
Upon receiving the award, Dosunmu expressed heartfelt joy. "When I heard my name called, something inside me broke open with happiness," he said. "Every sacrifice, every late night, every difficult incident, it all makes sense now. I felt overwhelming gratitude."
He added, "What makes me happiest is what this represents for my career. I started as a young engineer who believed in cybersecurity. Today, that belief is validated. I want every young Nigerian in tech to know this award belongs to you too. Do not stop. Nigeria is watching, and the world is watching."
