In a shocking incident, gunmen have abducted six worshippers from a Celestial Church located along the Owo–Akure Expressway in Uso, within the Owo Local Government area of Ondo State. The attack occurred during a night service, causing widespread panic among the congregation as armed assailants forcefully seized several individuals.

Eyewitnesses from the community reported that the armed men invaded the church premises, disrupting the service and creating chaos before taking away the worshippers. The Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the development in an official statement, noting that the incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at approximately 12:50 am.
Jimoh explained that the victims were reportedly transported to an unknown destination by the attackers, heightening concerns for their safety. In response, security forces swiftly mobilized to address the situation.
