Suspected terrorists have killed one person and abducted over 30 others after attacking a commercial bus in Kogi State. The incident occurred in the Ayegunle Bunu community, located in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area.

Attack Details

The attack took place around 2:25 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026. According to reports from the local news publication Egbe Mekun Parrot, the gunmen intercepted the commercial bus while it was traveling through the community.

Among those abducted were two residents of Ayegunle Bunu, a man and a woman. The remaining victims were passengers on the bus, which was en route when it was ambushed by the attackers.
