This directive was delivered during a strategic meeting convened with Port Security Officers and Chief Security Officers representing various terminal operators across the Western Ports. The gathering, held on 15 January 2026, aimed to strengthen security coordination and boost operational efficiency within the port environment.
In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Isaac Hundeyin, Commissioner Agbaminoja emphasized the non-negotiable need for sustained collaboration between the police and port security stakeholders. The primary goal is to protect critical national assets, prevent criminal activities, and ensure seamless port operations that underpin economic activities.
