On Monday, May 18, a video surfaced showing teacher Michael Oyedokun pleading for his life. Saraki noted that Oyedokun was murdered shortly after the video was circulated, adding to the grim toll of the attacks.

Abduction of CRIN Staff in Ibadan

In a separate incident on Tuesday, May 12, gunmen abducted two staff members of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) in Ibadan, the state capital. Saraki pointed out that the same location had witnessed the kidnapping of farmers in March, indicating a pattern of targeted violence.
