Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have apprehended a suspected terrorist spy and neutralized two insurgents in separate operations in Borno State, as part of ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the North-East region.

Arrest of Suspected Spy

On 25 April 2026 at approximately 21:40 hours, soldiers from the 198 Special Forces Battalion captured a suspected spy during surveillance operations along a parapet area within their operational zone. The suspect was observed conducting reconnaissance on troop positions before attempting to hide in nearby shrubs.

Troops on standing patrol quickly intervened and arrested the individual, who failed to provide identification and refused to cooperate during initial questioning. He is currently in custody for further interrogation to ascertain his motives and possible connections to hostile elements in the area.
