Osaretin Agbonavbare Joins Prestigious Truist Foundation Fellowship for AI-Driven Social Impact
Osaretin Agbonavbare, a Houston-based artificial intelligence strategist, entrepreneur, and social impact leader, has been officially awarded a coveted spot in the 2025–2026 Truist Foundation Fellowship. Powered by the Watson Institute, this highly competitive, fully funded 16-week fellowship is designed for entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders who are advancing economic mobility in underserved and underbanked communities across the United States.
Advancing Economic Mobility Through Technology
The fellowship program runs from March 4 through June 19, 2026, and combines immersive virtual training, mentorship, leadership development, and in-person engagement opportunities. Agbonavbare was selected following a rigorous application and interview process that evaluated leadership potential, community impact, resilience, and entrepreneurial innovation.
Agbonavbare is the founder of BBCMGTai Inc., a Houston-based AI software technology consultancy that delivers advanced solutions in business intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, cloud systems, and data analytics. Through BBCMGTai Inc., he has supported startups, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations across North America and Africa in adopting technology-driven strategies for sustainable development.
In addition to his corporate leadership, he founded ADollarClass Inc., a social-impact initiative providing affordable online education, digital literacy training, and entrepreneurship mentorship to underserved communities. This platform has empowered minority youth, women, and micro-entrepreneurs with accessible pathways to economic participation.
The Truist Foundation Fellowship aligns closely with Agbonavbare’s mission of using artificial intelligence and digital tools to strengthen local economies and expand opportunities for marginalized populations.
A Competitive National Selection
The Truist Foundation Fellowship equips fellows with access to executive mentorship, pitch coaching, capital pathways, and a global network of changemakers. Participants are required to dedicate 8–10 hours per week to intensive workshops and community-based implementation projects, culminating in a final summit where fellows present scalable impact solutions.
In an official statement, the Watson Institute noted that Agbonavbare’s application demonstrated empathy, resilience, and a strong commitment to uplifting underserved communities—qualities central to the fellowship’s mission.
Reflecting on his acceptance, Agbonavbare stated: “This fellowship is more than recognition—it is responsibility. It strengthens our capacity to scale technology solutions that expand economic mobility and ensure underserved communities are not left behind in the digital economy. I am honored to join a cohort of visionary leaders committed to measurable impact.”
National and International Recognition
Agbonavbare’s work has garnered increasing recognition. In September 2025, he received the Corporate LiveWire EdTech Innovator of the Year Award. He has also been nominated twice for the Forbes Africa Under 30 list and was previously a finalist in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program—a prestigious initiative designed to accelerate high-growth enterprises.
His work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and economic equity, positioning him as one of the emerging voices advocating for responsible technology adoption in underserved communities.
Looking Ahead
Participation in the Truist Foundation Fellowship is expected to further strengthen BBCMGTai Inc. and ADollarClass Inc. by providing advanced strategic frameworks, mentorship, and expanded access to impact capital. The program will enable Agbonavbare to deepen his work in digital inclusion, workforce development, and AI-driven economic empowerment.
As economic mobility remains a pressing issue nationwide, leaders like Osaretin Agbonavbare continue to demonstrate how innovation and community-centered entrepreneurship can serve as powerful catalysts for inclusive growth.
