A young lady who participated in the post-UTME examination of the University of Ibadan (UI) but scored below the required cut-off mark has rewritten the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination in 2026.

Details of her story were shared on social media by a user who disclosed that he had sponsored her JAMB registration fee.

Lady Fails University of Ibadan Post-UTME

In the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the lady scored 254. She applied to the University of Ibadan and sat for the institution's post-UTME test. However, she scored less than 50 in the post-UTME examination, which prevented her from gaining admission.

Determined to try again, she registered for the 2026 JAMB examination. After checking her result, the user who sponsored her, identified as @Jollof101, recounted his conversation with the lady's mother.

He stated that the mother informed him the lady scored 230 in the 2026 UTME. Upon seeing the score, the lady began crying uncontrollably.

Lady Rewrites JAMB After Missing UI Admission

@Jollof101 shared on his social media page: "Last year, I paid for one girl's JAMB and she scored 254. Wrote UI post-UTME and scored below 50. I said try again. Just make sure you start tutorial very early."

He further explained the conversation with the mother and asked for advice on what the lady should do next to secure admission to study at the University of Ibadan. He wrote: "Her mother just told me about her new score: 230. She has been crying since she saw the results."

In the comments section, he revealed the course the lady is interested in: "I think she wants Nursing. With that JAMB score, e possible."
