Churchill Denies Divorce, Addresses Reconciliation with Tonto Dikeh
Churchill Denies Divorce, Talks Tonto Dikeh Reconciliation

Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has refuted reports claiming he is divorced from his wife, Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer, while sharing what appears to be a court document on social media.

Statement on Divorce Claims

In a statement posted on his Instagram page, Churchill described the circulating divorce reports as false and misleading. "The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false," he said. "There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such."

Alongside the statement, Churchill shared an image of a document that appears to be an "enrolment of judgment," bearing both his name and that of Roseline Ufuoma Meurer. However, he maintained that there was no legally recognised marriage between them. "There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a 'divorce' is baseless from the outset," he stated.

Churchill also questioned the legitimacy of the alleged divorce process, insisting that he was never formally served any legal documents. "Any legitimate legal process requires that all parties be formally served and given the opportunity to respond. I was never served," he said. He further cast doubt on the authenticity of the circulating claims, questioning how any such documents were obtained and whether the reported timelines were possible under Nigeria's legal system.

Reconciliation with Tonto Dikeh

Beyond the divorce claims, Churchill addressed his past relationship with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, with whom he shares a son. His comments come amid recent sightings of him and his ex-wife, Tonto Dikeh, spending time with their son, King Andre. In his statement, Churchill said he and Dikeh have resolved their differences. "If Tonto offended anyone, it should be me alone and if I offended anyone, it should be Tonto. However, we have both chosen to forgive each other," he said.

He added that their past issues were personal and should have remained between them. Churchill also addressed narratives suggesting that Meurer played a major role in supporting him during his disputes with Dikeh. While acknowledging that she faced public criticism, he rejected an exaggerated portrayal of her role. "I do not agree with the narrative that Rosy 'stood by me' in a way that should now be exaggerated," he said, adding that issues in his past relationship were his responsibility to handle.

His statement comes after a series of public comments by Meurer, who has also denied rumours surrounding their marriage, including claims that she unfollowed him on Instagram. She has also denied allegations that she was once friends with Dikeh before marrying Churchill.
