Fresh Evidence Emerges in P-Square Saga
Leaked documents have surfaced showing that Peter Okoye, known as Mr P of the defunct P-Square group, directly involved his twin brother Paul Okoye in an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigation. This contradicts Peter's repeated public statements that he never filed any petition against Paul.
The petition, dated 29 January 2024 and signed by Peter himself, explicitly requested the EFCC to investigate Paul's accounts from 2004 to the present. The document also called for investigations into Jude Okoye's wife, Ifeoma, despite reports that Jude did not meet her until late 2013.
Petition Details and Contradictions
In a series of Instagram posts on 12 August 2024, Peter challenged Paul or anyone else to produce any petition that mentioned Paul's name. However, the leaked petition directly contradicts this claim. Part of the petition reads: "I will appreciate if the commission can investigate the account of Northside Music Ltd from 2015 till date, the account of Northside Entertainment Ltd from 2007 till date, the account of Jude Chidozie Okoye from 2004 till date, the account of Paul Nonso Okoye from 2004 till date, and the account of Umeokeke Ifeoma Okoye from 2004 till date."
Investigations revealed that upon EFCC invitation, Paul was detained before being released after meeting bail conditions. This development directly contradicts Peter's public assertions that he never involved his twin brother in the fraud allegations.
Legal Proceedings and Public Fallout
Based on Peter's petition and subsequent EFCC investigations, Jude and his companies were dragged before both a Federal High Court and a Lagos State High Court for prosecution. The case has drawn significant public attention, with many questioning the brothers' relationship.
In a separate development, Legit.ng earlier reported that Mr P claimed the P-Square reunion with Rudeboy slowed his social media growth. He stated that before the reunion, he gained up to 100,000 followers daily and ranked among top Nigerian entertainers alongside Davido and Don Jazzy. He noted that follower growth dropped after the reunion, though he admitted uncertainty about the cause.
Peter Okoye's Online Clash
Legit.ng also reported that Peter Okoye had a heated exchange with a troll who advised him to reconcile with his twin brother. The singer shared a throwback picture of his humble beginnings without including his twin, prompting a fan to comment, which led to an online altercation.
The leaked documents have reignited public debate over the P-Square feud, with many calling for transparency and reconciliation between the brothers.
