Nigerian Lady Catches Free Fish at Newfoundland Beach

A Nigerian lady living in Canada, Ngozi Nwogbo, has gone viral after sharing a TikTok video showing how she and her friends caught a large quantity of fish for free at a beach in Newfoundland and Labrador. The video, posted under the handle @ngozinwogbo8, has drawn widespread reactions from viewers both in Nigeria and abroad.

Fishing Adventure at Middle Cove Beach

Nwogbo explained that her colleague had called her to go fishing at Middle Cove Beach, located just outside St. John's. She said they initially tried to buy a fishing net but were unable to find one. Upon arriving at the beach, they used a basket to try to catch fish, but a little girl loaned them her net, which allowed them to scoop up a significant number of fish.

In the video, Nwogbo said: "This was us trying to get fish to see if we could pick up anything because we didn't even come with a proper net. We came with one basket and it was this little girl that gave us her net." She added that the fish are seasonal at the beach and that she would have packed even more if she had a deep freezer at home. "I no get deep freezer, I for pack more," she said.
