TikTok Star Peller Alleges Political Recruitment Attempt by Tinubu Supporter
Popular Nigerian TikTok star Habeeb Hazmat, widely known as Peller, has made serious allegations against online commentator Emmanuel Philip, also called Naijashimadun. During a recent live stream session, Peller claimed that Naijashimadun, a vocal supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, attempted to recruit him into politics ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Alleged Recruitment Approach
Peller revealed that Naijashimadun contacted his management team with a financial offer to bring him into the political arena. According to the TikTok star, this approach happened some time ago, and his refusal to accept the offer led to a sour relationship between them. Peller stated that Naijashimadun subsequently began speaking negatively about him online and damaging his reputation.
"That Naijashimadun man is not a good person," Peller declared during his live stream. "He spoilt my name and talked bad about me online just because he reached out to me to join a political party and I declined. I don't want to involve myself in politics. Since that time, he had been angry with me."
Political Poster Discovery
The situation came to a head when Peller recently spotted a political poster featuring Naijashimadun publicly declaring his support for President Tinubu's re-election campaign. The poster identified Naijashimadun as a coordinator for RTIFN (Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria), an APC support group based in Houston, USA.
Naijashimadun had shared the announcement on his Instagram page, writing: "I'm Humbled to serve as the Coordinator for Houston, USA, supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu! #RTFIN #RenewedHope special appreciation to ST @seyitinubu for locking up the renewed hope agenda and turning up the heat nationwide."
Peller's Firm Stance
Peller emphasized his decision to stay away from political involvement, explaining that he has since blocked Naijashimadun on all social media platforms. The TikTok star expressed frustration about being ridiculed online following his refusal to join the political recruitment effort.
"I have blocked him everywhere. He really ridiculed me online," Peller stated, making his position clear about maintaining distance from political activities.
Social Media Reactions
The allegations have sparked significant reactions across social media platforms, with many netizens supporting Peller's decision to avoid political involvement. Several comments praised the young content creator for maintaining his independence and focusing on his entertainment career.
One user commented: "Don't mind them they looking for a way to destroy your enjoyment relationship ni oo." Another added: "But the boy too young to join corrupt party na, na everybody APC govt won destroyed self."

Related Political Recruitment Claims
This incident follows similar allegations from other Nigerian content creators. Skit maker Kevin Black, known as Governor Amuneke, recently shared details about an alleged lucrative offer he received to campaign for President Tinubu's re-election. These cases highlight growing concerns about political recruitment efforts targeting popular social media influencers ahead of the 2027 elections.
The RTIFN support group, which Naijashimadun represents, includes several notable Nigerian celebrities among its members. Actors Yul Edochie and Ninalowo Bolanle have also been identified as supporters of the Tinubu-focused political organization.
Peller's Previous Controversial Statements
This is not the first time Peller has made headlines with his opinions. Previously, the TikTok star shared controversial views about Nigerian music superstar Wizkid, claiming that the artist's songs give "boring vibes" and might make listeners feel sleepy. These comments generated significant discussion among music fans and further established Peller as a vocal figure in Nigerian entertainment circles.
The current allegations about political recruitment attempts add another layer to the ongoing conversation about the intersection of entertainment, social media influence, and politics in Nigeria. As the 2027 elections approach, such incidents may become more frequent as political parties seek to leverage the popularity of digital content creators.
