Nigerian activist and Ratel president Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM), has issued a sharp response to a recent apology video released by popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor. The controversy stems from allegations made by actress Doris Ogala, which led to her reported arrest and detention.
VDM's Dramatic Reaction and Alleged Evidence
In a video shared online, VDM offered a pointed analysis of the pastor's public statements, particularly those concerning his daughter. The activist described Pastor Okafor's demeanor as manipulative, accusing him of omitting crucial parts of messages in his narrative to his congregation.
VDM proceeded to share screenshots of text messages allegedly exchanged between Pastor Chris Okafor and his daughter. He questioned why the cleric withheld these communications from his church members. According to VDM's presentation, the core of the daughter's plea in the chats was a request for her school fees to be paid.
The shared messages, which have not been independently verified, depict a heated exchange. In them, the cleric is alleged to have pronounced curses on his daughter and instructed her to seek confirmation of her paternity from her mother.

VDM further claimed that he strategically set a trap for Pastor Okafor, which he asserts the clergyman walked into. He pointed out that in his apology video, Pastor Okafor clarified that the name of the lady who spoke against him was not simply "Chi" but "Amarachi."
VDM explained that he had intentionally advised the young woman to conceal her full identity and use "Chi" instead of "Amara" when speaking out. He stated that by revealing the full name "Amarachi," Pastor Okafor inadvertently confirmed details VDM had deliberately obscured, thus falling into the purported trap.

The activist's reaction video took a sarcastic turn as he watched segments of Pastor Okafor's apology to Doris Ogala. VDM was seen dramatically wiping his face with tissues, appearing to shed what he implied were fake tears in mockery of the cleric's emotional appeal.
