Gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has responded to criticism from some Nigerians following a viral video concerning a recent kidnapping incident. In a newly released video, the singer clarified that her original recording was a one-hour and thirty-minute prayer session dedicated to the kidnapped children, their families, government authorities, security agencies, and all Nigerians experiencing pain. However, only a portion of that video was circulated online.
According to Alaseyori, the shortened clip led some individuals to feel offended and believe their voices were not being heard. In response, she offered a heartfelt apology to anyone who felt overlooked, emphasizing that she never intended to make anyone feel unseen or unheard.
“Please forgive me if I ever made you feel offended, unseen, or if I spoke in a way that seemed insensitive,” she stated.
The singer urged the public to view the full context of her message and reaffirmed her commitment to prayer and support for those affected by the tragedy.
