Senator Karimi Mobilizes Kogi West for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid
Karimi Engages Constituents, Drums Support for Tinubu 2027

In a strategic move to consolidate grassroots structures, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has convened a major meeting with constituents from Kogi West, focusing on galvanizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's anticipated re-election campaign in 2027.

Constituents Declare Unalloyed Support for Tinubu and Karimi

A large crowd gathered at the senator's country home in Egbe, representing all seven local government areas of Kogi West. The attendees unanimously declared their strong backing for both President Tinubu's second-term ambition and Senator Karimi's own return to the Nigerian Senate.

In his address, Senator Karimi emphasized that his primary political objective is the success of President Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He distanced himself from any internal political conflicts within the state, appealing to all key stakeholders to unite and work collectively towards securing Tinubu's victory in the 2027 presidential election.

Addressing Security and Infrastructure Concerns

The interactive session also served as a platform for the lawmaker to listen to the pressing concerns of his people. A significant portion of the discussion centered on the prevailing insecurity in the region.

Senator Karimi briefed the constituents on the outcome of his meeting with the Brigade Commander in Lokoja held the previous Wednesday. As a direct result of that engagement, he disclosed that military troops will be deployed to enhance security in several communities, including Olle-Bunu, Jege, Odo-Ere, Idofin, and Isanlu.

He urged the people not to lose hope, assuring them that their challenges are being actively discussed at the National Assembly with the aim of finding swift solutions.

On the long-delayed Kabba–Egbe Road project, Karimi provided a detailed explanation. He stated that the Federal Ministry of Works is currently awaiting necessary approvals from the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) to commence work.

In a significant revelation, the senator announced his personal financial commitment to the project, saying, "I have personally contributed N3 billion — N2 billion from my constituency allowance and an additional N1 billion — to supplement the project’s funding and expedite its completion."

Harmonizing Demands for a United Front

While prioritizing and harmonizing the various demands presented by the people, Senator Karimi charged them to return to their respective communities and become ambassadors for the Tinubu re-election bid. He commended the President's tireless efforts to ensure national progress and citizen security, despite facing challenges aimed at undermining his administration.

The lawmaker pledged to continue lobbying for initiatives and projects that would drive the development and progress of the entire Kogi West region. The event underscored the early commencement of political mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
