Prophet Chukwuneke Samson Nnaji of the Finger of God Ministry has predicted that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), will emerge victorious in the 2027 Nigerian general elections. The cleric, based in Nnewi, Anambra State, shared his prophecy via a Facebook post on Friday, June 19, 2026, stating that he received a divine revelation about the election outcome. However, he cautioned that a mysterious event would unfold on the day the results are announced.
Prophet Nnaji's Revelation
In his Facebook post, Prophet Nnaji wrote: "Prophecy. The mind of God over the 2027 general elections. I am just a messenger. The Lord told me that what is about to happen will be written in the history of Nigeria because something like that has never happened before." He described a vision of the election between Peter Obi, President Bola Tinubu, and Atiku Abubakar, claiming to see a vote margin of 10 million to 9 million, with Obi declared the winner. He added that over 5 million people would gather at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office, awaiting the final results, and fear would grip those present before Obi's victory is announced.
Call for Vigilance and Prayer
The prophet urged supporters of Peter Obi to remain steadfast in protecting their votes at INEC offices and ensuring every valid ballot is counted. He emphasized the need for prayer and fasting, stating, "Hear me: Nigeria will be OK. Remember you saw it here first. Everything I'm telling you is what will happen. Screenshot and keep the record: everything will happen. Remember, prayer is needed if you truly love Peter Obi. Fast and pray."
Previous Prophecy from Ghanaian Cleric
This prediction follows a similar claim by Ghanaian cleric Prophet Clement Testimony, who earlier stated that Obi stands a strong chance of becoming Nigeria's president in 2027. Prophet Testimony made his assertion in a video shared on social media, as reported by Legit.ng.
