APC Welcomes Shekarau, Gwarzo, Promises Full Integration

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has officially welcomed former Governor Mal. Ibrahim Shekarau and Senator Bello Ayatullah Gwarzo back into the party, with a firm assurance of their full integration and equal opportunities.

Party Chairman's Assurance

The State Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, in a message released on Sunday, expressed confidence that the return of these political heavyweights would consolidate the party's experience, institutional memory, and grassroots structures ahead of future elections. Doguwa emphasized that under his leadership, the APC would guarantee a level playing field for all new members, allowing them to contribute meaningfully to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the progressive Kano First Agenda of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Shekarau's Contributions

Doguwa highlighted that Mal. Shekarau brings proven expertise in policy formulation, education reform, and legislative oversight. He noted that the elder statesman commands respect across party lines and will serve as a stabilizing force in Kano's political landscape, fostering unity and issue-based politics. The chairman added, "Their move sends a clear signal to the electorate that the APC remains the most credible platform for development, security, and inclusion in Northern Nigeria. We call on all our supporters to give Senator Shekarau, Senator Gwarzo, and Alhaji Bagobiri a rousing welcome as we work together to deliver good governance to the people of Kano State."
