Minister of Works, David Umahi, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu embodies the Biafra that Igbos have long sought. Speaking during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Umunaga Ward, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Umahi emphasized that the turnout of 5,009 APC members demonstrated overwhelming support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
Ebonyi as APC Stronghold
The Minister described Ebonyi State as a stronghold of the APC and insisted that the South-East region has benefited immensely from the current administration through what he called “juicy appointments” and major infrastructure projects. According to Umahi, President Tinubu has successfully integrated the South-East into the national political framework by offering key appointments and spearheading developmental initiatives.
Integration and Development
“Bola Tinubu is the Biafra we have been looking for. A man who has integrated the entire South-East, given us juicy appointments and very important infrastructure,” Umahi stated. He further argued that Tinubu’s economic reforms, despite initial hardships, have helped stabilize the economy. “The macroeconomy is stable, and the President is now taking it down to the microeconomy. The worst is over, and Nigerians will soon begin to see the benefits,” he added.
