Yakassai, Anyanwu Support Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid

The Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), Dr. Umar Tanko Yakassai, has called on Nigerians to grant President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a second term in office by voting for him in the 2027 general elections. Speaking as a special guest at an alliance meeting of the Renewed Hope for Greater Nigeria (RHGN) held over the weekend, Yakassai emphasized that President Tinubu has advanced the nation's economy and development through his transformative vision and leadership.

Yakassai Highlights Progress Under Tinubu

Yakassai acknowledged the recent security concerns in Nigeria but insisted that the country is making progress across all sectors. He assured that President Tinubu would continue to prioritize efforts to guarantee the safety and protection of all Nigerians. The TSG leader commended the leadership and members of RHGN for their dedication to President Tinubu's re-election bid and called for enhanced partnership and coordination among all pro-Tinubu groups to achieve the desired outcome in 2027.

He stated, “President Tinubu has provided transformative leadership for Nigeria, steering the country through difficult but necessary reforms with a steady hand and a long-term vision that is already beginning to yield dividends for ordinary Nigerians across the federation.”

Yakassai urged all support groups to “speak with one voice, move with one purpose, and leave no ward, no local government, or state unattended in the run-up to the 2027 general elections. Our primary agenda is to galvanize massive support and votes to ensure that President Tinubu wins come 2027.”

Anyanwu Emphasizes Grassroots Mobilization

Earlier in his remarks, the RHGN National Convener and Facilitator, Hon. Calistus Anyanwu, stated that President Tinubu has demonstrated a genuine commitment to repositioning Nigeria for greater heights and called for continued support for his administration. Speaking on the group's vision and objectives, Anyanwu said, “Our group is committed to educating Nigerians on the bold programs and far-reaching policies of the Tinubu administration; demystifying his reform programs, countering disinformation about his leadership, and amplifying his government achievements at the community level.”

He added, “Our recent nationwide inauguration drive was a deliberate effort to build an enduring grassroots architecture capable of delivering votes, mobilizing public opinion, and sustaining the conversation about the Tinubu administration’s vision for a greater Nigeria long before the election season officially begins.”

Also speaking, the Imo State chieftain of the group, Mazi Franklin Ngoforo, reiterated the group's relentless grassroots mobilization aimed at not only realizing the re-election agenda of President Tinubu in 2027 but also charting the political way forward for the South East and the country at large.
