LG Autonomy Fully Effective in Kwara – Governor’s Aide

The senior adviser and counselor to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Alhaji Saadu Salahudeen, has affirmed that local government autonomy is fully effective in the state. Speaking in Ilorin on Sunday, Salahudeen stated that the governor’s stance on local government autonomy aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Community Visit Highlights LG Impact

Salahudeen made the remarks when the people of Ayegbami community in Dada, Okelele, Ilorin, paid him a thank-you visit. The visit was in appreciation of the repair of their vandalised electricity transformer, which was fully funded by the Ilorin East Local Government. According to Salahudeen, this gesture demonstrates that local government administration in the state has become highly effective under the administrations of President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq.

Governor Praised for Empowering Councils

He praised the governor for implementing full local government autonomy, which has revived the previously moribund local government administration by granting council chairmen the freedom to operate independently. Salahudeen noted that dividends of democracy are now being felt at the grassroots across all parts of the local government.
