Brazilian Father Accused of Raping Young Daughters in Front of Son

A 46-year-old man in Brazil has been arrested and accused of committing horrific acts of sexual violence against his own children. According to authorities, the man allegedly raped his two daughters, aged seven and eight, on multiple occasions while they were in his care at his home in Cascavel, Paraná, southern Brazil.

Disturbing Details of the Allegations

The Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR) reported that the alleged rapes occurred repeatedly between January 2025 and January 2026. Shockingly, police stated that some of these incidents were witnessed by the girls' 10-year-old brother, who was present during the abuse. The man was arrested on Friday, February 20, following an investigation that gathered substantial evidence against him.

Authorities have placed the father in court-ordered pretrial detention as they prepare to present their case to the Public Prosecutor's Office. During the arrest operation, police executed a search and seizure warrant at the suspect's home, recovering electronic devices that will undergo forensic analysis. The man remains in prison at the disposal of the justice system while the investigation proceeds.

Pattern of Similar Crimes in Paraná

This case emerges amid a troubling series of similar crimes in the Paraná region. Just days before this arrest, another man, aged 41, was sentenced to 29 years and two months in prison for raping his own daughter. Bruno Silva Rocha, the local chief of police, confirmed that this individual was arrested on January 14 in rural Guaraqueçaba, Paraná, during a public operation.

The 41-year-old was taken to the Antonina Civil Police Station and subsequently transferred to the Paranaguá Public Jail, where he remains following his conviction earlier this month. Police executed an arrest warrant in Potinga, where the man was believed to have lived, demonstrating coordinated efforts to address such crimes.

Additional Arrest in Child Exploitation Case

On the same day as the previous arrest, January 14, authorities apprehended a 23-year-old man on charges of raping a vulnerable person and disseminating child pornography. This case was reportedly solved in less than 24 hours after the victim's mother filed a police complaint.

The mother reported that intimate videos of her 13-year-old daughter were circulating on social media. Police conducted swift investigations and identified the teen's ex-boyfriend as the suspect. Authorities allege that the 23-year-old released photos and videos of the victim as an act of revenge.

According to police reports, the suspect confessed to the crimes, and his mobile phone was seized for forensic analysis. This rapid response highlights the increasing focus on combating child exploitation in the region.

Legal Proceedings and Ongoing Investigations

The official police investigation into the 46-year-old father's case has been concluded, with results now being forwarded to the Public Prosecutor's Office for further action. The recovery of electronic devices from the suspect's home is expected to provide crucial evidence in the upcoming legal proceedings.

These cases underscore a broader societal issue of child abuse and exploitation in Brazil, prompting calls for stronger protective measures and more rigorous enforcement of existing laws. The involvement of multiple agencies and the use of forensic technology demonstrate evolving approaches to addressing such crimes.
