A shocking video has captured the moment a pickup truck crushed a $250,000 Lamborghini with the driver still inside, just five months after the luxury car was purchased. The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 21, in a gym parking lot in Lake Nona, an Orlando suburb.
Driver recounts terrifying experience
The Lamborghini driver, identified as Ramon Ferrer, stated that he feels fortunate to be alive after his vehicle was crushed under the weight of the pickup truck. Cellphone footage shows Ferrer attempting to reverse as the pickup truck turns a corner and drives directly over his car.
“She’s going kind of fast, so I’m literally stopping. I’m reversing. I guess she never saw me, and so she just ran through me,” Ferrer told WESH, referring to the pickup driver.
Seconds to react
Ferrer explained that he was searching for a parking space at his gym when the terrifying event unfolded, giving him only moments to react. “I jumped out of the car because I saw the wheel … kept on spinning. So I’m like, she still wants to go,” he said.
Remarkably, Ferrer escaped without any injuries. He credited his survival to divine intervention and a mechanical stroke of luck. “The only thing that actually saved me was God, of course, 100%, but another thing was her axle got stuck on my pillar on the windshield,” Ferrer noted.
“If not, she would have just wrecked me over completely. It would have been a nightmare. I wouldn’t be here right now, which is kind of crazy,” he added.
Heartbreak over lost luxury car
Ferrer expressed deep disappointment over the destruction of his luxury vehicle, which he had owned for only five months. “I was able to buy the car, and that was a great, great feeling, and this happens five months later,” he said.
He questioned how the pickup driver could have missed seeing his car. “I don’t know how you can miss a whole car. I mean, yes, I’m slammed to the ground because it’s a Lamborghini, but I mean, still, how can you miss a car?” Ferrer said.
The video of the incident has circulated widely on social media, drawing attention to the bizarre and dangerous crash.
