According to a statement by the command's spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, on April 29, 2026, the motorcyclist suddenly exhibited symptoms resembling an epileptic seizure and became unresponsive. He was immediately taken to Modupe Hospital in Akinyele, where medical personnel confirmed his death.
Unrest and Arson
The sudden death triggered tension in the area. Some aggrieved individuals, acting on misinformation, attacked the Kara Police Outpost, setting parts of the facility on fire. During the unrest, three motorcycles and a Mazda pick-up patrol vehicle were destroyed, and one police officer sustained severe burns.

The command deployed reinforcements to restore order. The deceased's body was evacuated to Adeoyo State Hospital Mortuary in Ibadan for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
