Shocking Video Reveals Murder of Nigerian Student Isaac Satlat in South Africa

A deeply distressing video has surfaced, documenting the brutal murder of a Nigerian student from Plateau State, Isaac Satlat, in South Africa. The 22-year-old, who was on the verge of graduating and relocating to Canada for further studies, fell victim to a violent hijacking that ended in tragedy.

Kidnapping and Discovery of the Body

Isaac Satlat was initially reported kidnapped on February 11 while driving his father's car in Moshongo Province, outside Pretoria, South Africa. His body was later found with multiple bullet wounds, indicating he had been shot after the initial attack. The emergence of this video provides a harrowing glimpse into the events leading to his death.

Graphic Details from the Dashboard Camera Footage

The video, believed to be recorded by a dashboard camera, captures the chilling sequence of events. Two male assailants in the backseat strangled Isaac from behind, while a female accomplice in the passenger seat actively participated in the attack. Despite Isaac's brave resistance—attempting to steer the vehicle and fight back—the trio overpowered him.

The female accomplice hindered his efforts by searching the car and trying to subdue him. As the men pulled Isaac's upper body toward the backseat to strangle him, he kicked against the driver's seat, but the woman held his legs down. Isaac also appeared to try calling for help with his phone, but the woman seized it from him.

Aftermath and Recovery of the Body

After successfully strangling Isaac, the woman used his phone's torchlight to search the car. The men then moved his body completely to the backseat, and one of them took over driving. Eventually, all three perpetrators exited the vehicle, leaving Isaac's body behind.

Nigerians living in South Africa reported that Isaac's body was recovered with bullet holes, having been shot approximately 12 times. This adds a layer of extreme violence to an already horrific crime.

Background of the Victim

Isaac Satlat was described as a decent Nigerian student who also worked part-time as a Bolt driver to support himself. His father is a Christian missionary based in South Africa, highlighting the personal and familial tragedy of this incident.

This case underscores ongoing concerns about safety and violence against Nigerians in South Africa, calling for increased attention to such brutal acts.
