Boko Haram Suspect Arrested with Woman, Baby in Borno

Troops of the Nigerian Army, working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have apprehended a suspected terrorist collaborator in Borno State. Security sources informed Zagazola Makama that the suspect, identified as Alhaji Kaka, aged 20, was arrested at approximately 7:00 p.m. on April 25, 2026, during an operation in the Dumba general area.

Details of the Arrest

The suspect, a Kanuri native from Baga town in Kukawa Local Government Area, was intercepted while allegedly attempting to transport a woman, Mrs. Fatima Modu, 20, along with her infant child, to a location believed to be under Boko Haram control. Mrs. Modu, also a Kanuri from Damboa Local Government Area, was rescued during the operation.

Items Recovered

Items recovered from the suspect include two mobile phones of Itel and Henin brands, personal clothing, and female cosmetics. The sources confirmed that the suspect is currently in military custody, undergoing further investigation to determine his level of involvement and possible links to terrorist networks.
