D'Tigress Suffer Second Straight Loss on US Tour Against Minnesota Lynx
D'Tigress Lose 79-88 to Minnesota Lynx in US Tour

Nigeria's senior women's basketball team, D'Tigress, suffered a second consecutive defeat on their ongoing tour of the United States, falling to the Minnesota Lynx 79–88 in a competitive contest at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City on Tuesday, April 28. The game was played under assistant coach Wani Muganguzi due to the absence of head coach Rena Wakama, who is currently on WNBA duty with the Chicago Sky.

Despite the loss, the Nigerian side showed marked improvement from their opening 89–63 defeat to the Los Angeles Sparks, pushing the Lynx across all four quarters. The tour serves as preparation for the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, scheduled for September in Berlin, where Nigeria will compete in Group B alongside France, South Korea, and Hungary.

With one game remaining in the three-match series, D'Tigress will aim to build on their improved performance when they face the Indiana Fever on Saturday, May 2. The team remains focused on refining their strategies and building chemistry ahead of the World Cup.
