According to official statements from Kwara All Stars, Amosa had actively participated in a friendly football match at the George Innin Stadium in Ilorin on Saturday, February 7. The former Kwara United star reportedly complained about a burning sensation around his neck shortly after the match and was immediately rushed to a medical facility for urgent attention.
Tragically, despite receiving prompt medical care, Amosa passed away approximately thirty minutes later on Sunday morning. His burial was conducted according to Islamic rites in Ilorin, Kwara State, where he had made significant contributions to football development throughout his career.

The Executive Chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission, Bolakale Mogaji, led the sports community in paying tribute to the late coach. In an emotional statement, Mogaji revealed that he had been with Amosa just hours before his passing, sharing lighthearted moments and football banter.
"Just yesterday at 5pm, Bale Amasa, aka Babankurani and I were together at the rainbow of Rasidi Yekini throwing banter, he even played football," Mogaji recalled. "Alas, we woke up to hear of his demise. He will be remembered for his contribution to football. May Allah be pleased with him and rest his soul."

Akinola further remembered Amosa's personal qualities, noting: "His cheerful inclination to make jokes, jest, or engage in witty banter made us close. I'll surely miss him."
