Covenant University has announced a vacancy for lecturers and professors in two newly approved departments: Mechatronics Engineering and Quantity Surveying. The private university invited qualified and motivated candidates to apply for full-time faculty appointments in these programs.
Available Ranks and Qualifications
In a Facebook announcement, the university listed openings for the following ranks: Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer. For Mechatronics Engineering, the Lecturer II position requires a PhD in Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline, or an advanced stage of a PhD programme (external assessment stage). Applicants must demonstrate potential for teaching and research, with evidence of publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals as an added advantage. The Assistant Lecturer role requires at least a Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline, with a CGPA or percentage score suitable for PhD admission. Candidates already enrolled in a PhD programme are also eligible, with publications being an added advantage.

The announcement specified the Curriculum Vitae format: applicants must include full names, date of birth, nationality, marital status, institutions attended with dates, academic and professional qualifications with dates, membership of learned societies and professional bodies, working experience, extracurricular activities, and referees. General requirements include a cover letter stating the position and department, copies of academic certificates and professional licences, a list of publications, and details of teaching and supervisory experience, along with names and contact details of three referees.
