St. Kitts and Nevis will provide complimentary biometric enrolment services at its Investment Gateway Summit, enabling citizens traveling through North America to fulfill new passport requirements. This initiative is timed to coincide with the major international football tournament occurring in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with Nigerian-based citizens expected to be among those heading to North America for the event.
Free Biometric Enrolment at the Summit
Biometric capture is mandatory for every citizen before the issuance of the new national passport. The Summit will host the enrolment facility on-site at no cost to attending citizens beyond standard agent fees. With the tournament running from 11 June to 19 July across 16 cities, the Federation has scheduled the Summit so that Nigerian-based citizens making the trip across the Atlantic can include a short onward leg to the Federation and complete enrolment in a single journey.
Enrolment will be administered by the Citizenship Unit, with biometric data captured in person and added to the citizen’s record. The service is free of charge at the Summit, with citizens responsible only for any professional fees charged by their authorized agent for coordination or accompanying document work. Citizens not attending the Summit will need to complete biometric enrolment through alternative channels announced by the Citizenship Unit, which may incur additional costs.
Opportunity for Nigerian Travellers
“Nigerian-based citizens traveling to North America for the football this summer have a rare opportunity to combine the trip with their biometric enrolment at no cost,” said H.E. Calvin St. Juste, Executive Chairman of the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Unit. “The Investment Gateway Summit is the most efficient way to complete the new passport requirement, and we encourage citizens across West Africa to plan accordingly.”
Nigerian citizens travel to the Federation via established connections through London, New York, and Miami, with itineraries coordinated through the Federation’s network of authorized agents. Travelers flying through US East Coast hubs are within a short onward flight of Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.
