The Olugbodi family of Ara Kingdom in Egbedore Local Council, Osun State, has announced the death of their beloved matriarch, Mrs. Grace Olabisi Olugbodi JP. She passed away at the age of 83 on April 18, 2026, exactly one week after the burial of her husband of over 65 years, J.O. Olugbodi, on April 11, 2026.
Funeral Arrangements
The burial ceremony of Madam Grace Olabisi Olugbodi, affectionately known as Extraordinary Grace, will begin with a Service of Songs and Tributes on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Union Baptist Church in Osogbo, Osun State. The funeral service and interment will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Ara Kingdom.
Surviving Family
She is survived by her children and their spouses, grandchildren, sisters, brother, nephews, nieces, and other relatives. The family expressed profound gratitude to God for her extraordinary grace in raising eight boys and a girl, and for being a mother, big sister, and friend to many.
Madam Grace exemplified the success and deep satisfaction that come from a life of hard work, fortitude, and a strong mindset in facing life’s challenges. She was also a pillar of faith, love, and grace, serving God and transforming lives through her faith in Jesus.
Her son, Dr. Tunji Olugbodi, Executive Vice-Chairman of Verdant Zeal Marketing Communications Group, described her as an extraordinary blessing, now resting peacefully in the arms of her Maker, reunited with her husband.
