2027 Elections: Prophecies on Peter Obi, Makinde, Amaechi's Political Futures
2027 Prophecies: Obi, Makinde, Amaechi's Political Fate

Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Lagos, has issued fresh prophecies regarding Nigeria's political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections. The cleric predicted internal crises within the opposition alliance, with Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, expected to exit the coalition to pursue his own ambitions.

Peter Obi's Political Path

According to a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, and sent to Legit.ng, Primate Ayodele declared that Peter Obi will eventually leave the opposition coalition. He stated that Obi will be offered a vice-presidential slot but will outrightly reject it. The cleric said: "I don't see Peter Obi staying with the coalition till the end. He will leave them because he won't actualise his political ambition with them. He will be given a VP slot, which he will outrightly reject. He will be the most preferred for the position, but he won't want it, and this will make him leave to pursue his ambition somewhere else."

Seyi Makinde's VP Prospects

The prophecy also touched on Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who Ayodele suggested could be next in line for the vice-presidential slot. However, the cleric warned that Makinde may miss the opportunity if he does not act cautiously. "Seyi Makinde is scheming to take the vice president slot, but he may miss it by chance. What is on the ground is serious, but he has all it takes to become a VP candidate, but it's too late for him," Ayodele claimed. While Makinde has engaged with presidential aspirants seeking to unseat President Bola Tinubu, he has not officially declared interest in any office.

Rotimi Amaechi as VP Choice

Primate Ayodele further listed former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi as the next person to be offered the VP slot, advising him to accept it to avoid missing out entirely. The cleric stated: "The next person who will be invited to take the slot will be Amaechi. If Amaechi is given, he should take it; otherwise, he will miss out completely."

These prophecies come amid heightened political maneuvering as parties and individuals position themselves for the 2027 elections. Legit.ng reports that while some politicians have declared their intentions, others remain non-committal. The opposition coalition continues to face challenges in uniting against the ruling party.
